Can you convert carpeted stairs to match our downstairs LVP flooring?
Yes! This is our specialty. We safely strip the old carpet, square and reinforce the framing stringers, and install either solid hardwood treads stained to match or flush LVP stair caps with integrated bullnose.
How do you eliminate squeaky stairs?
Squeaks come from loose stringers or aged nails rubbing against sub-treads. While the stairs are uncovered, Loyd re-screws the structural framing, applies structural urethane adhesives, and shims loose joints tight.
How long does a staircase remodel take?
A standard straight run of 13 to 15 stairs takes approximately 2 to 3 days. Curved staircases or full baluster/handrail overhauls take 4 to 5 days.
Can we use our stairs during the renovation?
Yes, at the end of every work day, we leave the staircase completely safe and traversable so you can access your second story comfortably.
